Pegassist^®: Providing the support you and your patients need

The Pegassist Hep C Support Program is a comprehensive patient education and support system designed to help you and your patients achieve positive outcomes with PEGASYS. Pegassist covers needs from diagnosis through the entire course of therapy. That way, we can supplement the care you already provide while helping you manage issues that may occur along the way (ie, reimbursement information).

*Patients in clinical studies including genotypes 1-4 had a better than 50% chance of achieving SVR.
 Response to treatment may vary based on genotype and individual factors.

Pegassist offers a broad range of services and materials for patients, physicians, and staff:

• The Pegassist.com Web site: a private online hepatitis C support program specifically designed for your patients' use during treatment with PEGASYS. Features include:
• A range of interactive and customizable tools—a treatment diary and tracker, an exercise and diet plan, and a buddy system to help your patients feel connected and stay on track
• Key information about hepatitis C and its treatment with PEGASYS alone or in combination with COPEGUS^® (Ribavirin, USP)
• A 24/7 nurse hotline to answer questions about treatment, with translation available in 150 languages
• One-on-one Nurse Care Coordinators who give patients individualized support, with regularly scheduled telephone calls throughout therapy
• The Genentech Patient Assistance program with reimbursement case managers to discuss prescription benefit coverage with patients and determine eligibility for the program, which provides free PEGASYS and COPEGUS to qualified patients
• Educational materials available to help you support patients throughout treatment and aid them in the management of side effects:
